Project Clarito · New this season

Help a family through a hard stretch this season.

Beyond the mat, we're raising support for families in our community facing rent, utility, and holiday-season hardship. 100% of your gift goes directly to their relief — no platform fees.

White belt — where everyone starts

You don't need to be an athlete to begin.

Most people who walk onto our mats have never trained anything in their life. That's the point. Project Clarito exists for the person who needs a reason to move, breathe, and show up again next week — not for the person who already has it figured out.

Blue belt — building the habit

Breathwork before you ever pull guard.

Every session opens with breathwork — the same regulation skills that keep you calm when you're being crushed by 200 pounds also keep you calm in a hard conversation, a bad week, a health scare. We teach the nervous system first, the technique second.

Purple belt — the shift

Somewhere in there, it stops being about the mat.

People tell us the same thing: they came in for their back, or their anxiety, or because a friend dragged them along — and stayed because for the first time in years, they felt like they were getting stronger instead of just getting older.

Brown belt — carrying it forward

We take it on the road, for free.

Every year we run seminars far from home — community centers across the U.S. so far, with international seminars next on the list — because the people who need this most rarely have $200 a month for a gym membership. We ask for nothing at the door.

Black belt — what your gift builds

Every dollar is mat time someone else can't afford.

We're not a gym chasing membership revenue — we're a nonprofit chasing outcomes: fewer sedentary lives, fewer people who never learned to regulate stress, more coaches trained to carry this into their own cities.

Housing

Rent assistance

Direct help for families at risk of falling behind during a hard stretch.

Utilities

Utility bills

Keeping the lights and heat on for families choosing between bills.

Holidays

Holiday gifts

Making sure kids in our community have something to open this season.

What we teach

Two disciplines, one nervous system.

BJJ gives people a reason to move their bodies again. Breathwork gives them a tool that works long after they've left the mat.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Beginner-first BJJ classes

Free, drop-in-friendly classes built for people who have never set foot on a mat — taught by coaches, not gatekeepers.

Global reach

Chicago is home. The mission travels.

We teach free seminars wherever coaches and communities will have us — so far, that's meant venues across the U.S., with international seminars next on the list.

Worldwide, next

We've taught across the U.S. so far — now we're looking to take Clarito international. If you know a community abroad that could use this, reach out.
